Heather Honey

Heather Honey was brought up in a musical family, with her father being a world class pianist, and her mother, a well known classical singer. Heather was performing with her family in a package show at the early age of 7, in nursing homes and private functions. At the age of 15, Heather began on a journey of discovery, learning guitar and vocal from two high profile artists, who were working in the industry at that time. Three years of study with prominent vocal coach, Neil Williams, lead to a career in music, as a professional entertainer. Heather began playing the clubs and hotels around Australia.

Initially, Heather worked in the club cabaret scene as the opening act for international acts. This was followed by touring with The George London jazz trio and working as a solo performer.

After many successful years with the trio Heather joined a 7 piece band where she honed her craft as a singer and front person. The various styles that Heather encountered during those years, were to eventually create a high level of professionalism, that earnt her respect from her musical peers.  Heather then, branched out into  country  music,  where  she  was  invited  to   perform   in  Nashville  USA  and  tour  with  some  of  the  biggest country music artists at the time.

Heather Honey is a hardworking entertainer and is presently working as a SOLO artist and with her duo ‘TWO AMAZING’. She is also a regular guest at the ‘Bay Of Islands’ Blues festival in New Zealand, playing Jazz and Blues. Heather has been performing at this festival for the past 5 years and each year releases a new album, that includes some of her own original material, to coincide with the Jazz and Blues festival.

2008 and 2009 were  very busy years with radio interviews, newspaper articles and a very positive feedback to the albums that Heather has released. In 2010 Heather joined forces with guitarist/vocalist Gary Bates, to form the duo ‘Two Amazing’. During that year, Heather split her time between her work as a solo artist, and, creating a new direction with the duo. 2011 proved to be a fruitful year for the duo, as a result of that collaboration.
